Ammonite Counselling & Wellness
Healing through connection, Growth and Embodiment

Our Story
Ammonite Counselling and Wellness was brought together by friends and colleagues in healing. From very different life paths, we found a shared vision: to create a space where healing, connection, and growth can truly flourish. Our unique backgrounds shape the way we see the world—and allow us to meet people with openness, curiosity, and deep respect for each individual journey. At the heart of our work is a genuine passion for helping others. We believe in the power of being seen, heard, and supported, especially during life’s more challenging moments. This belief is what inspired us to begin building a wellness centre that offers more than just services—it offers refuge. Our intention is to create a warm, welcoming space where people can pause, reconnect with themselves, and prioritize wellbeing. A place where self-care is not a luxury, but a practice that is nurtured and encouraged. As we grow, we envision expanding this space into a collaborative hub—bringing together a diverse range of healing modalities under one roof. Our hope is to foster a community where individuals can access the support they need, in the ways that resonate most with them. This is just the beginning, and we are honoured to be creating something meaningful together.

Background
It is my profound honour and privilege to support people in their journey toward wellness. My approach is nurturing, respect-based, person-centred, trauma and neurodiversity-informed, and nonjudgmental. I love the richness of working with all people and respect people of all beliefs, faiths, and backgrounds, but hope to focus on creating safe spaces for men, middle agers, and elders, as well as those part of neurodiverse, 2SLGBTQI+, nonmonogamy, sex positive, kink and other diverse or nontraditional communities.
As we walk through life, our experiences can create many challenges such as anxiety or depression, intrusive or overwhelming memories, sleep disturbances, hopelessness, and a deep loss of trust in ourselves and others. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can be vulnerable, express yourself authentically, and heal.
Areas of Focus
Trauma, PTSD and CPTSD; EMDR (EMDRIA approved) for adults as well as children and youth; neurodiversity (ex. autism, ADHD); sex therapy, 2SLGBTQI+, nonmonogamy, sex positivity, kink and other nontraditional communities; life transitions and existential questions; and couples and families.

I hold a M.A. in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I also hold a Masters of Vocational Technical Education (Adult Education) and Coaching Out of the Box Certification. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to do it alone. My goal is to offer a warm, respectful space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and explore what matters most to you..
Whether you’re navigating something specific or simply feeling stuck, we can work together to better understand your experience and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from modalities such as Integrative Body Psychotherapy (IBP), Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Voice integrated therapy and EMDR. I believe the body plays an essential role in how we process trauma and emotion, and I incorporate this awareness into our work together.
I also offer couples counselling, with a focus on attachment and relationship healing. My approach is strength-based, person-centered, and holistic, supporting growth across emotional, cognitive, and somatic levels. I aim to provide a space that feels warm, supportive, and grounded.
Background
My journey into counselling began through music. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Opera) and work as a professional singer and voice teacher. Along this path, I came to understand the profound mind–body connection and the healing potential of voice and creative expression. This realization sparked a deep interest in supporting people to release stored trauma, and to reclaim their connection to their body and voice as part of their healing journey.
Today, I weave these two passions together, offering voice- and music-informed therapy for clients who feel drawn to this approach, and supporting them in integrating this connection into everyday life.
Areas of Focus
Depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, stress management, substance use, performance anxiety, youth counselling (12+), adults, couples, ADHD, and learning differences.
